    6EU7 tube

    I have a 6EU7 tube in a skylark amp I suspect is bad.
    I don't have a spare.
    I have a Superior Instrument TC-55 Tester.
    I don't have any test settings for the TC-55 tester to test the 6EU7 tube.
    Would anyone know what the settings would be, or where I could find them?

    Do you have the manuals for the TC-55? It doesn't show a listing for 6EU7, but if you need the manuals, they are here:

    From what I understand, it is basically a 12AX7 with the heaters on different pins. So you would have to find a setting for some other tube with the same heater pin out, and combine with the settings for the 12AX7. Might not even be doable if there is not a socket wired up with those heater pins.

      And it would certainly not be the first Gibson with a 6EU7 socket rewired for 12AX7.
      Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

        I guess I had a corroded tube socket.
        I have it working now.
