  • Crown CE 2000 no output, no fault LEDs, power and signal LED on, Any repair advice?

    Hello:
I have a Crown UT2020 = CE2000 that has no output on both channels but no fault LEDS on, amp cycles to turn on power LED and with signal applied signal LED turn on and blinks. Actually on channel 2 can barely hear some output not affected by volume pot. Board PWA 137557-3. Date of production 0055=5 of 2005? Any suggestions on repair.

    Thanks in advance

    Nicolas

    PS: Here the schematic etc

Call Crown and get the correct schematic.

The one that I have does not go as high as your board number.

    Rule#1: check the power supplies.

Not too sure of your abilities or test hardware, but you have to know that this amp is not simple.
Plus most of the signal components are surface mount.

    Here is the SM:

Requested up to date schematic from Crown. Yes difficult amp with SMTs, and output transistors sitting on top of the single board. Interesting that there is no output despite no fault LEDs, amp appears to cycle normally, power LED on and signal LEDs blink with input. Amp is in Guatemala with no real tech support for it. So will have to do the best I can with assistance.
