  • Tube amp (reel to reel / guitar) "Output" to speaker question???...

Hi. Hope this question is in the right forum, somewhat. If not, sorry, closest I could find here.

I've got a 1957 Silvertone tube reel to reel and it has a 1/4" output jack. (Model 8072)
In the Sam's photofact it has this info and diagram. (see photo below)
I'm wondering if a regular (modern) 1/4" stereo cable (guitar or speaker cable?) would work to run
out of this output into a 4 ohm speaker. (Or in my case, a 4ohm, 2x10 cab w/ (2) 35 watt Jensens in it).
    ------
The diagram points out where connections are to be made when 'making' your cable.
So, my MAIN QUESTION is: Would a 'normal', modern cable work or is this wired in some other way, due to the
design of this older amp? And would a regular mono guitar cable possibly work?
Thanks very much. Just trying to not overtax or screw up this old amp, which is currently working surprisingly well and sounding
good through the 2 little 5" speakers it has.

NOTICE THE TEXT IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE, STATING "To Use and External Speaker",
and then the diagram follows after some text.

Looks like you need a stereo plug to hook up a external speaker.
