    Hi,
    The question is in the title. I want to know the correct length of a '51 Precision Bass pickup magnets.

      Pretty much the exact same as the tele

        Most Fender SC pickups have a coil height between the flats of .435--.500 inch. (The exceptions to that are the short Jazz P-90 looking pickups.)
        Between the Flats Height + Top & Bottom flatwork thickness = magnet lenghth.
        If you want a top stagger, add that to the magnet length.
        Taller coils are usually brighter sounding than shorter coils.
        These variables allow for a custom sounding pickup.
