Attention Jazzers: MIK D'Angelico Doorbuster at GC

I don't know if this might interest anyone or not, but being a "GAS enabler" I thought I'd post about this interesting doorbuster deal at GC that just went active during the midnight hours. (I found out about it because I got a special mailing in the post yesterday with pre-sale notice of this doorbuster deal that goes live on Nov 2.)

    Korean D'Angelico EXL-1 "Excel" Series archtop, normally $1399, now $800-off at $599.

I checked the price an hour ago and it was $1399 MSRP and now it's $599.

Talking to guys about it on the Jazz Guitar forums the guitar seems to be well regarded. In the past the lowest I've seen it was $999, the annual sale price that some people wait for. Much to my surprise it was recently offered on a Stupid Deal of the Day for $699, which is the lowest price I've ever seen. This Doorbuster deal is $100 cheaper than the Stupid Deal at $599 and is about 60% discount off of MSRP. For comparison used ones are priced at $800-$900 on GC's web site.

Interestingly, the guitar is showing up in GC banner ads on this forum as I came to the site to post this deal. I don't know if that's a coincidence or if the Google Ads are coordinated with the GC marketing dept.

"I happen to have an original 1955 Stratocaster! The neck and body have been replaced with top quality Warmoth parts, I upgraded the hardware and put in custom, hand wound pickups. It's fabulous. There's nothing like that vintage tone or owning an original." - Chuck H
