Hey everyone,
So I recently got my hands on an old amplifier believed to be from Sears - made in Canada. With a 35W4, 50C5 and 12AX7. I've made a few repairs and now have it working, but I'd like to make it safe by modern standards. It currently has no ground connection and no power-transformer.
Is there a proper way of adding some safety into these old amps?
This is all I've been able to find: Isolation Transformer Upgrade for Old Guitar Amps: 11 Steps (with Pictures)
Similar amp as what I have - this guy adds a transformer, fuse, power switch and solid-state full-wave rectification before the half-wave rectifier tube. Is all of this advisable?
