Peavey Vip 1 amp problem with knobs

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with the knobs on my amp. When I turn it the led goes in a different direction. It seems to be some kinda contact error. Someone on Youtube wrote that it can be fixed easily by removing the knobs and spraying it with contact spray.

Can someone help me on how to remove the knobs please?

It might clean up, nothing to lose by trying. The knobs pull straight off.


I hope that works, but my spider sense is tingling for needing a new encoder in that spot. The control under the knob is called an encoder rather than the common pot in most amps. Any parts you need can be had from Peavey directly.

Today I bought the contact cleaner , and sprayed under the knobs...
It works just PERFECTLY FINE )))))
