    Nameless Downloaded Files

    Is it just me?

I have had unusual occurrences with the site in the past week or so.

One: I cannot open files directly from the site that I have zipped & downloaded to the site.
    This is using Windows 7.
    It works fine with Chrome.

Two: Again, from Win 7, if I save a file to my desktop, there is no file name.
    Simply, 'attachment'.

I have noticed changing behavior here the past week or so but after a few days things are usually working better. Are you still having problems? Can you post a link to the post with attached files that aren't downloading properly?

Have you tried renaming "attachment"? Sometimes the file is actually dl'd but without the proper name and ext.

It sounds like a Win 7 / browser problem to me...

Can adobe acrobat open zip's? Why is it trying to?
I have pdf and zip set to 'save' rather than 'open' and have no issues.
Did you have an adobe update recently that may have tried to 'claim' zips, or did they always open with adobe?

Is there a file extension (.pdf, .gif, .jpg, etc.) for "attachment"? (right click- properties).
