  • 3dpt led location

I have this Dod Yngwie pedal guy wants a led so he can visually see on or off. I found this block the pedal had a dpdt FS in it now. I have a 3dpt and this post but the guy did not add the LED. Where would I put the led wires?

You have an unused bank of switches.
Find which two of the three are connected when the pedal is 'On'.
Red battery lead-- appropriate V drop resistor-- LED (+) ; Attach this to one terminal .
Black/ Ground and LED (-) to the other terminal.

      Middle row is ground correct?

I guess that the green wire is the positive from the DC jack and that the battery negative is switched by the jack to the chassis. That being true I think this is what you need.

Experience is something you get, just after you really needed it.

Can anyone suggest where hum might be picked and if the LED would cause it. I'll have it again tomorrow. I only experienced hum with my round flourescent light near it. Turned it off and it's gone. It is used with the power pack and a high gain amp.

The schematic you posted seems incomplete. It doesn't show the footswitch. This makes me suspicious about the correctness of what is shown.
                Keep learning. Never give up.

Can a 3dpt switch introduce more noise in a circuit, this one seems to have . I'm going back stock just to reverify.

The carling switch has 3 connections purple and grey wires tied together on one lug other 2 wires separated.
rewired stock seems quiet, rewired back to led setup quiet. Noisy input cable. Problem fixed.
