I always thought they cost too much for what you get.Does anyone here have any experience with Chromebooks?
How old is the windows laptop?
I would load up a usb with ubuntu, wipe the drive with gparted?
Then load the new ubuntu on there.
I had my wife's laptop dual boot win10, and ubuntu, and no one used the win10, it was too slow.
So I wiped it last time and put linux XFCE version 18.04 LTS, it is good for 4 years.
She's happy with it. I should update it more often, but she doesn't use it much!
Maybe others can weigh in on the chromebook?
