  • Marshall 8240 Valvestate power xformer

Anyone have a source for the power transformer in a Marshall 8240 combo amp? Can't seem to find one...CE Dist used to have all this stuff but maybe in the past 6yrs since I've been out of the biz things have changed.
I would even go for a used one. Thanx.

This is the 8100 head, single 100W RMS into 4 ohm, rails about +/- 40V
Besides, it does not have a high voltage winding, it uses a separate sutotranformer .

      }VS 8240 hs two 40W/4 ohm chipamps, needs around +/-22 V rails.

A 18+18V 100/120 VA transformer is not hard to find, but you will also need some small (10mA) 200VAC or so transformer for the tube, and a 12VAC 150mA one for filaments.

That said, a 120>12 plus a 12>220 small transformer pair á la Mc Tube may provide both just using junkbox stuff.
