Behringer GM110 farting

Hi,

I've a fairly unused GM110 that I got from Ebay - it was sitting in a loft for ages then the owner passed away. Looks brand new. Jenson speaker.

It's making a farting sound, really unpleasant, soon after it's been plugged in so I suspect it's something getting too warm. I've tried bypassing the preamp by going into the fx return to no avail. I don't have an external speaker to test against.

Any ideas??

Welcome to the place!

Is the farting sound with audio, or random farting even with nothing plugged into the amp? If you suspect it's heat related, get some freeze spray and see if you can narrow it down.

"I've tried bypassing the preamp by going into the fx return to no avail." What does that mean- you got no audio, it still farted, etc.?
