    A moment of inattention and I broke nose on bias test octal adapter.
    Does anyone know what the best glue for bakelite?

    I would think a good epoxy- not 5-minute, but something slower that will penetrate better. If you could reinforce the hollow centre with some kind of pin or dowel that would help its chances of staying together.

        I'd also expect the epoxy to work well.
        However, because this is a bias probe, it is going to be stressed much more than a normal tube would.
        If the glue won't hold up, try to find one of these keyway replacements:
