  • 4558 opamp question

    Might be a dumb question to some, but is a texas instruments rc4558p a suitable replacement for an xr 4558cp?
    I've looked at a few data sheets and from what I can find it looks as though it should be fine.

      They are both 4558 types and can be used in place of each other.


      There are a few situations, like OD pedals wher the op amps are operated at super low voltages, where some people hear differences, but for the most part, any 4558 will do.
      Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

        Thanks guys, just wanted to make sure, they are going in a cheap crate g-212, I already had the rc4558p's left over from rebuildinf an amped ss140c
