  • Behringer Eurodesk Problem

    Hello, im a new member.
I have a problem with my Behringer eurodesk sl3242fx-pro.

I was wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

The desk is approx 10 years old and has only been
    used a studio recording desk.
For over a year now the left main output has been cutting out.
I have replaced cables and tried different speakers etc.
The fault seems to be the left main output.

Worse the eurodesk yesterday has now started, turning on and off.
I have kept it on for and hour and watched it turn itself on and off
    approx every 5 seconds.

Do these have batteries in them for memory settings? Could that be it?
    Or maybe faulty power supply

    Thanks

Just fixed one last month, resoldered the output jacks fixed the cutout issue.
The on/off sounds like caps in the power supply( similar to newer tvs that power on/off replacing the caps fixes those.
no battery as far as I remember.

Please find and upload a schematic if you can find one.

One side cutting out in main outputs? DO VU meters also crash or do they remain active. In any case, my suspects are first the insert jack in that output. Clean the cutout contacts. Next suspect is the slider itself.

Off/on? I suspect a 17v supply is failing. This unit uses a SMPS, and cycling in those usually means a short on an output. First thing I do is check all secondary side rectifiers for shorted.
