  • Fender Vaporizer reverb fault

    Hi all
Had my first and hopefully last vaporizer in.
Customer bought it used and says it has a fault with the reverb
Reverb is working but it has a high pitch whistle/feedback
It seems to be an issue reading on the net.
And seeing the ferrite core on the leads and a cap/resistor network going to ground inside the tank on the output.
I can see by removing the tank an putting it outside the combo it quietens it down a bit
I have tried a couple of test tanks ( different types ) that that improved matters a little
    original 60ohm input 223ohm output tank 3EB2C1B

Has anyone had a cure for this issue

    many thanks
    BBB

Are the ferrite beads there as European compliant EMF dampers or something?

Job now done and returned to customer
The customer does not use the amp outside of his home. so ive fitted the tank in a reverb bag and place it behind the amp on the floor. works well there

As for the European compliant ive never seen it on any other amp in the uk inc new ones

Do you know if it had the stock speakers, or replacements?
