  • Randall RG200 G3 has lights on but produces no sound.

Hey hows it going everyone i bought a randall rg200 amp a few years ago second hand and its been a beaut great sound and all was well then i was playing this arvo and while chugging away the sound slowly dipped down until sheer silence.
I have ripped it all apart to check for fuses ect cant see any wires disconnected or not soldered both speakers plugged in that tubey thig all seems to be intact so not sure if that could be my problem or not but the lights all come on but i got no sound.
Please guys help this mate get his daily fix agein.

ps sorry for the grammer tis what it is

Hi Muzz, welcome to the Forum!

The simplest problem that might cause what you are describing is dirty effects loop jacks. If you run a guitar cable from the Send jack into the Return jack this will bypass any switchjack issues and if that is the problem a little contact cleaner will fix it right. If your effects loop has Level pots on the Send and Return make sure to turn them all the way up.

The next thing I would check it the preamp tube. They are fairly cheap and easy to replace.
