  • Replacement screw for Ampeg VST Classic tube retainer

Hey all- I was wondering if anyone has a good source for the screw that holds the tube retainer on an SVT head? I have an amp that came in with eleven good ones and one totally rounded out. I think it is an M3.5-0.6 x 10mm screw, with a 2mm allen head drive. Problem is, it has to have a very short/shallow head to clear the underside of the power tube base, so not just any hardware store replacement will do.

Looking at the Ampeg parts info, they suggest contacting an authorized repair center, but I was hoping to avoid the middle man.

    So I have two questions:

First: can anyone confirm this is the correct size screw I need, and,
Second: has anyone else run into this and have a more direct source for a suitable replacement?

    Thanks!

++Also, how do you edit the thread title? I put VST instead of SVT and don't see how to correct that. oops.++
