  • Identifying Pickups

    I have these pickups - they look well made, good attention to detail. They are of the zebra variety, however the only notable distinguishing mark is a blue and red line on either pickup (which looks strangely factory made as the end of each line ends in a point). Anybody seen or can identify these?

      Jim Wagner/WCR. Or perhaps a set of the Will Boggs forgery pickups that he passed off as WCRs? ** the dirty clean-up makes me think they're WB forgeries.

        What makes you say that - do the red/blue lines help at all?

        If it helps - these came from an estate with many high end pickups - OX4, WCR, Joe Bonamassa SDs, etc. etc. -

            Yes, the Red and Blue Sharpie lines. Unless you meant the other thing I said? The coil tape-off isn't so unique however: DiMarz has been doing them like that since their inception.
