  • Shorted output leads

While trying out new speakers in a 2x12 cab this morning, I had one speaker connected and the leads to the other speaker loose. When I turned the amp on, volume was very low so I turned it off and found the two loose leads were touching.
Didn't have the time to examine it, but it still works. Any possible damage done? This is an all tube amp.
    Thanks.

Probably not. Tube amps won't stand an open connection for long, but will usually handle a shorted output with no problems.

Quite the opposite of a solid state amp that can overheat or blowup with a shorted output, but will run no load with no problems.
