fender bantam bass amp

first of all, i am beginner at this things, so please keep yr answers simple.

i would like to experiment with the bass channel of this amp, because it is not interesting, as opposed to normal channel which is bautifull. i play guitar thru it, and would like more/very much gain and mids, and razory sound. but maybe just something different. any suggestions? my thought was just to remove some parts.. schematics:

this is pretty rare amp, but it is similar to bassman ten.
