  • Matchless Style Cut Control on SE amp

Is it possible to add a Matchless style Cut control to a single ended amp? I am not quite sure of the theory on how this works, but I believe that it manipulates the signal to the grids of a set of power tubes such that super high frequencies are cancelled out.

I see the details in the DC30 schematic, but it is not clear to me whether or not I would tie the cap to ground in a single output tube scenario with no phase inverter (or if this is even possible).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Greg

      Hi Greg

You can use a 250k pot in series with 0.01u cap from last coupling cap to ground.

      Good luck!
      Love, peace & loudness,
      Chris
