First, look at the reverb pan, the long box with springs inside. Are any of the wires inside broken off? Disconnect the two cable from the jacks on it. Now measure resistance across each empty jack. One should measuer pretty low resistance and one about 100-200 ohms. Open readings mean a bad reverb pan.

If the springs are detached, you can sometimes fiddle with the little hooks until they're reattached. If its the little wires to the transducer, you can carefully (it's as thin as headphone wire ) strip and resolder it...I've even taken the springs from a broken tank and put them in a working tank that was missing the springs!

Reverb pans are not that expensive. You may have on going problems if you repair one that has seen better days. Save the original and order a new one is my best advice.
