  • CC Vibe LED brightness

Does anyone know of a quick way to insert a resistor in series with the effect on/off LED? The LED is just too bright. Thanks.

    Sure, do exactly that.

There already is a current limiting resistor in series with most any LED, so find it and change it to a higher value.

Not to be a smarty pants, but the resistors are SMT. I cant work with those. I was thinking of adding a resistor between the switch and board. Anyone have a schematic or wiring layout? thanks again.

Why can't you just unsolder one leg of the LED and put a resistor in series with the leg? You can leave the existing resistor and just add another. Or, is the LED SMD also?

I have no idea what is inside a CC VIbe, but Dude's idea sounds fine to me too, if the LED is not SMD.

I would bet my lunch money the LED is not wired through the stomp switch. The switch controls the circuits that switch the function and the LED.
