  • Acoustic 140 schematic. Anyone got one?

Well thanks to previous post for another schematic I was looking for! And hope someone can help me out here. If anyone reading this is looking for any info from Jack Paar's first edition Amp book, shoot me a pm or respond. Just thought I would offer. Thanks to all that respond!

As I couldn't find it on Ampix put it here
I gather this is the "new" accoustic company although only pictures of the older models

At some point in time, a bunch of postings to AMpix disappeared. I lost a bunch. SO there will be times Ampix is refered to in old threads but no such posting remains. I have gone back since and removed my dead links, though there could be new dead ones.

Have I mentioned that ampix has a search feature (I'll refrain from pointing out that Le Basseur posted a direct link to the file)?

That happened because of a fumble fingered flub on my part during a software upgrade. Since then I've taken pains to be extra cautious during the upgrade procedure, so I have high hopes that it won't happen again.

Should the link die and there be a disturbance in The Force, I have the original paper copy I scanned about 8 years ago. I posted and forwarded the .pdf here and there on TalkBass, the UACC site, and have gotten numerous requests for it over the years via email from owners and techs that couldn't find it.

I've been hanging on to the schematic since 1975, so I am glad it's gotten posted up and passed around. Those are good little amps, I still have mine with the 2x15 "106" cab. At 135 lbs, it doesn't get moved much. Together they were marketed as the 146 rig. 140 +106. Steve Mark's logic, I presume. I have never had to repair that unit.

As a matter of fact, last week I fried an Eden WT-400 and an SWR SM-900 ('96) so I gigged with an Acoustic 320 with the 140 as a backup. Both amps almost 40 years old. Just rock solid beasts and in my mind, well worth the time and effort to fix.
