  • Power soak help

I have Sholz power soak that I want to use with my amp. My amp is a Epi Valve junior head w a 12" 15 ohm ext speaker. The power soak is designed to use two 16 ohm speakers/cabs at the same time because the imp switch goes to 8 ohms when selecting 16 ohm speaker. Since I am using one 15 ohm speaker, I need to provide another 16 load for amp impedance to be right. Do I use a 15 ohm resistor, or 12 ohm to match the DC resistance of a speaker, or does this matter? Or do I plug the powersoak into the four ohm amp output and leave it set at 8 ohms? Thanks in advance any help.

    Another option is Power Scaling.
