  • Trace Elliot Speed Twin C30 Footswitch

    Hi chaps,

Been lurking for a while, and thought i'd dive in, register, and ask a question about an amp...

I've recently borrowed a Trace Elliot Speed Twin C30 from a mate, but it came with no footswitch, and I've tried various 2 button switches but to no avail. Does anyone know of a schematic anywhere to either build or rewire an existing one? On the back of the amp there are 3 footswitch sockets - one 1/4" marked 'CH I/II MASTER I/II', and 2 8 pin 'DIN' style sockets marker 'CONTROLLER 1' and '..2'. There are also MIDI IN and MIDI THRU sockets. Is it worth just going down the midi controller route?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance chaps

    Best

Hi JamieVee and welcome to the forum

It appears the din footswitch socket accepts momentary switches .
In the notes they mention the midi sockets are for a future expansion board
so it may or may not have the midi board.

A momentary "make" push button switch between Pin 6 and 0 volts pin 2
would select between ch 1 and ch 2.
Likewise for Reverb, effects ,master and ch 2 boost obviously to their respective pins.

OC, amazing stuff - how do you know all this? I've just rewired a basic 2 channel footswitch and it works a treat. Thanks man, much appreciated!
