All the best,

Who is this dweeb to police a response as benign as this one, around a peavey amp?
That last line just means you will not receive any more emails to inform you about replies to the thread untill you visit the site. It is an automated message sent by the forum, and is sent out by most forums. - not censorship at all...

hi Dan...
Thanks for the sober reply,
However, that footnote, for lack of a better word, has never accompanied any response I have ever placed, on any web site, including this one. So, whats up with it? If I am in the wrong, it won't be the first time. Similarly, if I am in the right, it won't be the first time. So, I am left with the question, why would I not receive any more automic alerts to replies to my message after enzo posted his, when previously I received an automatic alert after each reply?
Regards.

I have no idea what the software is telling you. I have absolutely zero control over the forum or its software. SOme people - I am guessing you included - set it up so they get emails about posts in the forum. The message you received says NOTHING about me doing anything to your posts, other than being the last one on your list of notifications for the day. I wouldn;t want to, but I have no ability whatsover to edit/change/influence anything posted on this board other than my own posts. You clearly are mistaken.
What it looks like to me is simple. I was the first to respond to you. It sent you a notification that you had received that response. All the note means is that if you get 17 more responses before you sign in again, it won;t send you 17 more emails. After all, you only need one message that "you have responses." Nothing more cosmic than that is going on. I will guarantee you it is not removing messages or altering them.
Now that you know there are replies, next time you check in, that will reset, and any following replies will ones again generate a email notice.
And may I address the charge of censorship. Censorship is serious stuff. It means someone prevents someone else from speaking or writing. In my initial respsonse to you, all I did was politely disagree. That is not censorship. No one erased your post, no one replaced your thoughts with someone else's. All it was was a different point of view. No one is preventing you from coming back and saying anything you want.
I don;t agree with everyone, but I often understand that someone I disagree with may have a perfectly valid reason for his position. That is what "I appreciate your position" means.
I don't understand the hostility. As an industry professional I may have a different perspective from yours, but I see no reason to tell me I have mental disorders or that I need to get a life. It is just my opinion, but I tend to think you will get a lot better response if you are polite and civil. Just a thought.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Whoa. Jared. You are definitely experiencing a serious misunderstanding. That's just the notification software that tells you when you receive an email that you won't receive another notification about this thread until you visit it. It's so you don't get 50 emails about a thread in a couple hours if a lively discussion pops up after you did.

I think that message has been at the bottom of the notifications for ages. It just means that, if you get a number of replies, you won't get e-mail notification for each one of them. This might be annoying if you get 15 replies and an e-mail for each one. You'll only get notified after you've visited the forum. I'm not on too many forums, but most phpbb forums work this way.

Jared evidently joined this forum in January 2010 and as of this time has made 10 posts, 6 of which were in response to the alleged censorship. My point being that Jared might not be entirely familiar with how this forum works. In most cases the reason for deleting posts is that they are spam. Although in a very few number of cases the mods have been requested to delete or edit a post because it contained a personal attack or something of that nature, and those requests are usually sent straight to the top (sorry about that, tboy! )

Jared, you probably ticked some box to receive e-mail notifications. None of these e-mails you receive are directed personally to you, except in so far as you requested them by ticking the box. And none of them were sent by a human: they're autogenerated by the forum software.
So basically you're chewing on your own tail, calm down. If you have a beef about the naming of Peavey's Classic amps, then debate it in the original thread.
Moderators have the power to edit and delete other peoples' posts and ban users, but the forum isn't censored. No real user has been censored or banned in as long as I can remember: the mods only really use this power to get rid of spambots."Enzo, I see that you replied parasitic oscillations. Is that a hypothesis? Or is that your amazing metal band I should check out?"

You have recieved an email because you subscribed to a post. That's all. No admin emailed you.
Here's the clue:
Dear Jared Purdy,
Enzo has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - technical difference between Peavey Classic 30 and Delta Blues - in the Guitar Amps forum of Music Electronics Forum.
You made a goof and subscribed the pot. See the screen shot below to see how you did so.
So stop and take a breath and realize that no one sent you an email. It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
