Almost dead channel on Mesa Preamp

Does anyone know what might cause the right channel on a Mesa Recto Recording Preamp to be just about dead(low output) and the left side good output?The tubes are good. I don't have a schematic but most of these preamps seem to split the output's after the tube stages into left and right. Could a leaky electrolytic cap cause this or maybe a bad connection in the effx loop jacks (like the rockmasters). I figure it must be something like that because transistors are usually either good or bad and I would think that ceramic caps would also either be good or bad, since this is a low output, not completely dead problem. It's tough without a schematic. Thanks for any input.

If you use the normal outputs, first, test the recording outs. If work, loop circuit is OK. Both circuits (normal and recording) take the signal from the same point (center of return balance pots).
V6 is the tube for normal outputs and V5 is for recording outputs. If one does not work well could generate this effect, but always in the line to be assigned
(normal or recording).
Itīs very unlikely to find a faulty capacitor in these circuits. Each output has a J175 FET transistor in parallel. If it is damaged (shortcircuit) would also cause an effect like that it exposes. If tubes and circuit around them (plate resistors...) are OK, the latter is more likely.

Turns out it was the power transformer. 300 dollar fix. Ouch!!! Turns out it's a common problem with these according to the repair shop. They went with a better Mercury? I drive a Lincoln. ha ha Thanks for the reply.

It turned out that the channel I thought was good was also low output. I guess the voltage to the tubes was too low from a shorted trans? effecting both channels. One was lower than the other. I got this thing used( ebay, figures) like this so I never new what good outputs should be. The shop I go to is reliable so I trust them. All I know is it works good now. Unfortunately I think the distortion sounds like a buzz box direct so I'll probably dump it.
