Well I got the head back with a clean bill of health and the 2x12 is done as well as the 4x12 cab. I had to do some light repairs on the 2x12 and stripped it and sanded to bare wood and reblacked the inside then I covered it in Burgundy Snakeskin tolex and did the same to the 4x12. Here in the next 6-10 days my 2 final Eminence Texas Heat speakers should be here and can load all 4 in the cab and be done. Hope you like.

After I blew it up with an ill advised choice of tubes I had it overhauled at Audio West in Orange County and they bench tested it into a dummy load and it produced an honest 145w. If it is sheer volume you want the Mace is one hell of an amp. Built like a battleship, it's one of the best amps Peavey has ever made. A little impractical for home use though.
