Peavey tnt 130 is playing games.

I've had this amp since I was a pup and it (for the most part) always worked well. but coming up to shows where I began to need a direct out for my bass, The tnt was kicked to the curve. Now trying to revive a band I'm in, I took the tnt to the band space and planned on just using it for practice.

It worked great as always for about 15 minutes. then..........
close to nothing. except a wavering effect (almost like a tremelo pedal)
I've tried multiple different basses, outlets and fuses.
I've got nothing. just good, then an extreme drop off after a certain time period.

I'm not the handiest of electricians but i have friends who are (luckily)

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. (sadly) I sorta like this amp and want it to come back to life. Hope there are answers out there guys.

Check the filter main capacitors.
Bad cap or bad soldering would do it.

Just to be sure, try the other input jack.

Now take a spare cord a plug it into the preamp out jack, and the other end into the power amp in jack. Does that bring sound back?

When this happens, plug the guitar into the power amp in jack. None of the preamp controls will now do anything, but is the sound strong and clean?
