    So try it. We can philosophize all day trying to decide what might happen, but really, just tack in a different part and find out. By the time we all offer opinions on what might happen, you would already know.

    get a small 5k trimmer pot, an tack it in the circuit, then you can dial in any value that you want to see what happens.
    Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

      Been thinking about doing just that Enzo, I never realized there was such a wealth of info out on the web about amps and such. Back when I was playing full time the net wasn`t even in place for public use and anytime I talked about making changes to the Peavey hybrids I had all the techs around here said " it is what it is " Already with only about $2 worth of caps and resistors have cleaned up the mud, smoothed out the mids and boosted the highs on it and brought out a very sweet little growl without having to crank it to ear bleed volume. A few of my friends keep telling me to sell it and or go buy a VK 212, or get a ceriatone 2550, this project and the gains I have found so far have really surprised me as to just how much better this can sound.
