I had a customer bring me a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 that stopped working.
I looked on-line and found no schematics on the unit, With good reason.
The Amp is a Class D amp. the main output, which you cant see is a surface mount device it may even be a BGA part. Anyway the first thing I found was that the power input has what I'm guessing is a SMT poly fuse or NTC, marked P100. one end, towards the main fuse looks like the solder cracked out and arced. When I touched it it finished falling off the board.
Looks like this could be a week spot in the design. 5A at 120VAC must pass through that connection.
The PS and Amp are on one board 2.5X5" or so.
Looks like this could be a strictly exchange kind of unit.
Found out it still has a warranty so I'm packing it back up and saying "ta ta" to it.
