I'm looking a tube powered headphone amp to run guitar through but can't seem to find anything. The only tube headphone amps I find have rca inputs... Random question I know, but I'm just looking for something to satisfy my tube taste in an apartment

Suggestion for tube headphone amp?

Hi,
I don't know of many things like this either. The problem is that most of the "tone" of a tube guitar amp comes from the speaker. You can plug a solid-state amp into an EVM12L or Celestion Gold, and it'll sound pretty good. But you can run a nice tube guitar amp into a load box and headphones, and it'll sound terrible because of the wide, flat frequency response of the headphones. I've tried both of these experiments.
I think your best bet would be one of the digital gizmos like the Pod, etc. They come with a headphone out, and speaker emulation and reverb (room emulation?!) built in. For a little more tubieness (is that a word?), you could run one of these into a hi-fi tube headphone amp, the kind with RCA inputs that you've seen already."Enzo, I see that you replied parasitic oscillations. Is that a hypothesis? Or is that your amazing metal band I should check out?"
