Last night I was over at my neighbour's celebrating a friend's brithday. It is the same friend who has loaned me - for indefinate periods of time - his 75 SFPR. Well, last night, after I had just told him that I took it in to great amp tech and had it looked at (it was only $40), he was blown away that I would do that, and it's like, "well you have loaned it to me for so long that it's the least I could do.". He then tried to give the $40 for the service, to which I said no, he then says to me, "I want you to have it, you like it way more than I do and you have taken all of the initiative in getting fixed up...." I was shocked, blown away! That's like a $1000 amp! He said that he bought it in 1980, and it came with a Squire, for $300! I have to now think of something to reciprocate him with.
