  • Glengale amp?

I've seen a couple threads on the net, and a couple pics. Recently had one come across the bench. Looks distantly related to a Valco, but not quite. Output (6L6GC) screens
regulated at 150 V, cathode biased. 2 channels, no effects. 2 pilot lights, single CTS 15" spkr in combo. Looks to be from around 1960. Does anyone know anything about these things?

    thanx,

    Glengale amp. I had one.

I bought a Glengale amp way back in about 1963 ? from the builder who lived in Kansas. I think he lived in Eldorado, Augusta, or in some small town near Wichita. He built each one custom. They had padded vynal material coverings and were two piece. The name came from his two sons - Glen and Gale. That was his story anyway. It proved not to have enough horsepower for playing Rock so I relented and traded it in for a Fender Showman (much more money) then that wasn't good enough so I got a Dual Showman - that Jimmy Page borrowed and then finally a SuperBeatle VOX amp.
