  • Two Junkers...What Do I Have Here?

This one could be an old Tiesco or something?

This one gives up no clues on the front. Looks homemade to me.

Worth having someone look at either? Junk?

There is no such thing as junk when it comes to old tube amps

If you'd like to have them in working condition, they may require some new parts(caps, pots) but I'd definitely have someone give them a look and see what their technical state is. Worst case scenario, the transformers, chassis, cabinets and perhaps speakers are good for a custom build. Otherwise, they may be in working condition with very little investment. It depends on where you'd like to go with them.

Do you have a shot of the back/guts of that Freshman? There were a lot of wierd little Canadian tube amps in the '60's and 70's that looked like that. I think alot of them were made by Garnet for little Ma and Pa operations. Two of the best tube amp finds I ever came across were like that the both sounded amazing after some TLC and modding.

Check this out Royal Freshman Repair!

Looks like a line operated amp so electrocution hazard waiting to happen. Probably not much to do for it without some major modification.

I have a couple of line operated amps that have sort of cool tones. I use them for special tones on sessions once in a while. I'd never EVER run one without an isolation transformer.
