  • SRS webstore trany colour code?

    Hi everybody!

I've bought a bandmaster replacement trany from SRS webstore http://www.srs-webstore.com/pages/trannies.html Equivalent to #125P5D & #022798 , and they haven't provided me with a schemo or colour coding for their trany. I've asked them again via email, and no reply.

Does anybody has any idea on their colour code?

    Thanks.

    Max.

If you are able to figure out the primary, just plug it in and test the secondary voltages.Looking at the picture,I would guess the yellow and green are the 5v and 6.3v secondaries. The red would likely be the HV,a guess would be that the pink would be the CT,but that is easily verified with an ohmmeter.Brown could be the bias tap.If it is a dual (120v and 240v) primary you most likely have 4 wires for that. For the 240v wiring, check the dc resistance between them.On the ones I have decoded, you will see resistance between 2 of the wires and 2 will read open, for 240v's you connect the 2 that read open together and the other 2 get wired to your plug,or one to the switch and one to the fuse. These are only guesses based on what I've experienced, and I dont have a lot of experience with dual primary PT's,so take it with a grain of salt.Hopefully it will help point you in the right direction,Max.
