  • want to build footswitch for amplifier

    Hi,

I would like to build a footswitch to select the 4 channnels/modes of
my new amplifier (Diezel Einstein). I have a Tubelit roadie to do this (see
www.tubelit.de) that works fine, but the 4 switches are too close together.
So now I am looking to buy a new box (I prefer a slanted one) that has
a width of approximately 30 cm ... comparable to the footswitch box of
for example a Bogner Shiva. None of the Hammond boxes (Aluminium diecast)
    have an appropriate size.

Who knows a place where I can buy such a box ...

    Any help much appreciated.

    Jan,
Another approach you may want to consider is to make wedge base out of hardwood and add a metal inset cover holding the switches. The attached photo shows the concept. This one uses a molded plastic base but I've seen a few done well with wood. You have total control over the form factor.
