  • Peavey Mace VT problem

Hey, guys I recently acquired a Mace and need some help to get it working right. The problem is no output from the NORMAL channel. When plugged into the NORMAL or AUTOMIX (with normal channel selected) inputs I get nothing from the speakers. When I plug into the EFFECTS A or B, I get strong output to the speakers. Reverb works, phaser works, channel LEDs are lit when either (or both) channels are selected. I cleaned the AUTOMIX jack (which I didn't think would do anything since the NORMAL jack does the same thing) with no change. A visual inspection noted no obvious problems although the 400 ohm power supply resistor has failed in the past and been replaced. There is a faint "pop" through the speakers when plugging a cable into the AUTOMIX jack. Any ideas?

OK so the EFFECT channel works and the NORMAL channel doesn't. Troubleshoot the normal channel. Look at the schematic, the Normal channel flow is through U4A, U2A, U2B, U15, U18. APply a signal to the input and follow it along the output pins iof each of those. Where do you lose it?
