Fender Blues Deluxe Volume Question

A friend of mine has the aforementioned amp and is unhappy with the volume pot. He thinks it is linear and would like to switch to audio taper. He says the volume drops suddenly rather than gradually. I checked the schematic, and it is listed as a 250k 15A pot. If I am reading this right, I believe it was built with an audio instead of linear pot. Any advice?

Easy enough to verify which taper is on the installed pot, and go from there.
