  • Fender M-80 Chorus 212 - overdrive versus clean channel

Does anybody know how to bypass the foot switch, and turn off the overdrive? My amp is stuck on overdrive, thereby not allowing me to use the clean channel for softer songs. I've tried different foot switches, so it's not the switch itself. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Putting aside the foot switch for a moment... Does the clean/OD switch on the actual amp not function and all you get is distortion? I just was not sure if you have clean at all or only in reference to when you try the foot switch. I believe the channel switch on the amp needs to be pushed in(OD setting) to get the foot switch to function. Just need more detailed information...

This a link to the schematic on the site and thanks to Jazz P Bass for the post...

The switch itself works (as do the others I tried); however it won't change channels from OD to clean.

THAT WORKED! I didn't notice the little red amp switch (d'oh!); I somehow had depressed it, probably when I was breaking down from the last gig.

      THANK YOU!
