Newbie asking for tips on where to post a thread for repairing a Fender M-80 bass amp

So... guess that's about it A friend of mine wants me to check his Fender M-80 bass amp since I have some skills in electronics (very few, indeed) and we live quite far from any suitable technician. This M-80 gives a funny, 'farty' output.
I'm new in here and I'd like to get some help on where to post in this forum for to not mess things up.
