  • scope probes

Hi all. I just scored a Tektronix 465 in good shape off of ebay for a good price, but without probes. Can ya'll suggest where to get a quality set of probes? I've seen a bunch but they all seem to have a max vdc of 600v. The amp I'm working on now has a B+ of 600V. Don't really want to fry my probes on my first use. What should I get and where should I get them? Is ebay the spot? Thank you for the help!

Check out the discussion at http://music-electronics-forum.com/t31492/
In post #21 I offered some thoughts about high voltage probes. It's kinda long so I'm just referring you to the link instead of repeating the post here.
    Congrats on the 465,
    Tom

eBay is good for used probes - there's a lot of test equipment on there that's been salvaged from out-of-business factories and military sources - you can find HP/Agilent, Tektronix, and other brands, and look up the ratings by the model number.

I also found this new 2kV probe that seems reasonably-priced, with about 2 minutes of searching for "oscilloscope probe":
