1) it's Bonamassa
2) in 1964 there were NO 1W Marshalls, so how can anybody "reissue" one?
3) it has been heavily modded anyway, so that alone bans the (ab)use of the label "reissue" .
4) I suspect Joe Bonamassa will sound killer even if plugged into an LM386 amp anyway.
Just remember to plug it into a 4 x 12" or at least a Vintage 30 , as it was here .Juan Manuel Fahey

Call me ignorant. I have limited experience in experimenting with power amp distortion. But is seems the power amp distortion is not the best sounding in the world. It just optimize and work together with the preamp distortion to make the sound. So it seems the sound has a lot to do with the preamp and this amp just use a good preamp and use a very low wattage power amp to optimize the sound at bedroom level.
It is not as if...............Wow, this 1W power amp has a great secret!!!!

Maybe you did not hear that Clapton had a similar amp...
and that this amp reissue was created in the Marshall Custom shop...
"bans the use of the label "reissue..etc..."
Well luckily, Marshall labels their OWN amps, not YOU.
So if you have a problem with a Marshall reissue, built by Marshall, then you should call Marshall and cry about it.
"Heavily modded..." How would you know?
You have never looked inside one, and you certainly do not have the schematic...
So as usual, just a lot of hot air...venting from your swollen ego....
In the meantime, Musicians will appreciate it.
You obviously are not a musician, and I can understand your lack of appreciation, therein.

You are right on top of it Alan.
Someday, others will understand what you recognize so easily. Good Call.

Bonomassa is not my cup of tea (more "noodle" soup...), but the tone is AOK. I think the guy who worked on many of the little Marshalls posts over at AX84, or did. Nice guy, helped a lot of people make little fire breathing amps...
$200 of parts for $1k, sadly and only 200 made...only at 220-240V!Last edited by tedmich; 01-08-2014, 06:14 PM.

Awesome.
because I consider Heavy Metal Monk authoritative Marshall Scholar,
I asked the Heavy Metal Monk:
"Do you own this 1 watter?"
This was his answer:
yeah, i have four of them. 1x jmp1h, 1x jcm1h and 2x jvm1h. (h means head. they have c which is combo)
these 1watters are released as marshall's 50th anniversary which was 2012. they planned to release 6 limited edition models (all brand new 2012 design) which are,
jtm1 represents 1960's tone
jmp1 = 1970
jcm1 = 1980
dsl1 = 1990
jvm1 = 2000
and they planned to release each model every two months of 2012. this plan delayed and each model took 4~6months actually.
now, after they've finnished releasing all of the models whch was about may of 2013 and since these were planned to be a limited edition, everyone thought that was it, but marshall kept manufacturing them as additional special editions.
first special edition was, jtm1 offset which is same inside but defferent case and matching cab. (came out june/july 2013)
second was white jcm1 mini full stack. (came out oct 2013)
and then now they just came out with this jtm145 which has redesigned jtm1 cuicuit and matching cab which is the one on the you tube clip.
so technically up to date, they have 8 differnt versions available but most of first three has been sold out.
you will find some info on first five when you go to marshallamp.com under 50th anv section.
eh, we don't need to race to next world as you probably want to go to heaven, true monks try to hit hell as we all know how to turn hell into heaven. of course most of avarage joe won't even qualify to go to heaven to begin with and they'd all drop into hell in the end. you didn't konw that did you?
no, it will take forever for me to draw schematic of 1watter. you should find one or two posted somewhere on internet. dsl and jvm might not be still available. plus even if you get schematics, there is no way to obtain these trans.
just buy one of your own and you will have mini plexi which can be cranked in your own bedroom.
*end of message*
Thanks as usual, HMM
Whether I go to Heaven or hell,
I hope there is crunchy Marshall amp that I can play thru. hahahahahahahahahahahah!Last edited by soundguruman; 01-09-2014, 05:57 AM.

As usual, Sound"guru" man pissing all over the place.
1) how do I know it's heavily modified?:
Hint: how would you call going from 2 KT66 or EL34 (that alone changes sound a lot and qualifies as a "Mod", albeit an original "Factory" one) to some tiny tube(s) which produces just 1 W when cranked?
Hint: how would you call going from 2 volume pots, which are used to mix 2 very different EQs to adjust sound balance to Musician's taste to a single one which best case has a *fixed* combination which can not be adjusted?
Do I need to read the schematic for that?
Definitely not.
2) Marshall can call it what they like, I can call it bullshit when I recognize it, so what's your point anyway?
3) You can't read.
Or you read but don't understand.

4) you can't spell, (or read a text and type it accurately), it's Bonamassa, not Bonamacca.Juan Manuel Fahey
