  • Preamp output voltage

Me and my friends are designing a guitar amp. I am building the preamp and he is building the power amp. I have simulated my preamp design in multisim and my output voltage seems to be too high for my friends power amp input. He says that he needs it to be roughly 1V however when I simulate using the highest voltaqe value of of my guitar (3V) I get an output of 25V.

Can anyone give me any advice on how to approach this issue?

    Thanks ahead of time.

Sounds like there is no volume control at the output of your preamp, and no volume control at the input of the power amp. One of the devices should have a volume control. Also, a simple resistive voltage divider can drop your overall signal level going to the volume pot.
