How do you deal with speaker variation?

Speaker choice influences soun 1000 times more than cap colour, tube brand or any other "electronic" component.
Just listen to the **HUGE** variation hears with **SAME** amp, **SAME** guitar, same player and licks of course, going through different speakers.
All "good" by the way

Get an Eminence Legend, the one which has 38mm/1 1/2" voice coil, itīs the over the counter version of what they make for Fender.
*Always* available and consistent.
.
I have been listening to Jensen, seems like ceramic C12N 50W has the sound I want. Any opinion?

I like classic Jensens too.
As of the Legends, don't remember the exact model, but there are only 3 12" ones.
Download and read the .PDF datasheets.
One of them has 38mm/1 1/2" voice coil , 30 something oz magnet., ribbed cone, thatīs the most used by Fender (and a ton others, such as Peavey, Crate and many more) and the closest to Jensen C12N.
They also make a cheaper version, same 38mm coil, cone, etc, but much lighter magnet, 20 oz or less, which is the typical "blue label" Fender found in Deluxe 112, Performer 700, etc.
But itīs an OEM only version and is NOT on the catalog.
Or to be more precise, it *used* to be there, as "Blue Tick Hound" but they pulled it.
Do your homework, go read those datasheetsJuan Manuel Fahey

I didn't ask you to read a speaker curve or graph, just read the datasheet PDF and check which one specs 38mm / 1 1/2" voice coil.
Just read one line of text, and that only to identify which speaker I'm referring to.Juan Manuel Fahey

BTW, can I call Vox AC30 British sound vs Fender American sound. I went to Guitar Center yesterday and listen to both, they are so different. I definitely like the Fender a lot more as it sounds big and full. Vox sound thin with more high end chime. I am trying to learn the terminologies.

Those are all excellent American sounding speakers (Jensen being the original one) and all are easily available for a very reasonable price.
If you use any of them and fine tune your amp by ear, later you (or a customer) will be able to repeat that sound without much problem.
I think that's what was worrying you
As a rough unwritten rule: Eminence protects their customers'"trade secrets" or whatever you call them (Fine with me) , so if you ask them for "the speaker custom made for Fender for their Twins" they won't take the order or say "ask for written permission from Fender" .
*But* there are 3 or 4 models which sound good, have a reasonable price, and are specified by many OEM customers, thus made by the thousands every Month.
Why reinvent the wheel?
I guess they slam the Legend label on them to sell them over the counter.
So anything Legend will be good, popular, appeal to many people and have a most reasonable price.
Economy of scale.Juan Manuel Fahey

G12T75 is the most sold "Marshall" speaker , not by customer's choice but because it's the standard speaker in 95% of 4 x 12" and 2 x 12" cabinets, most popular Valvestates, etc. , by Factory choice.
Sound is "scooped" (poor mids, thumpy bass , aggressive treble) which seems to be the choice of Metalheads and clearly not what you want.
Those who use Dual Rectifiers which in my book are "muddy" often prefer V30, which has a *strong* peak in high mids which restores clarity.
None of them is for you.Juan Manuel Fahey

one more stupid question. I can get Legend 1258 for $69 and 1218 For $77. Which one should I get?
I like the cheaper price of the 1258 and also lower wattage and lighter for a 20W/40W amp. But I like the lower efficiency of the 1218, but it is very high power handling which means it will not compress.
