  • Carvin X60B lead channel

Having an issue with my x60b. When on the lead channel (higher gain knob not pulled) amp sounds as though the tone knob on a guitar us rolled all the way down. When you pull the high gain knob it sounds as it should. Any thoughts? Thanks so much in advance.

On the schematic, the Hi Lead switch is shown to the right of the input jacks. The switch has 2 sides, you need to first verify that both sides of the switch are closed when the knob is not pulled.

That sounds promising. I'll be able to pull it apart tomorrow. Thanks for the direction. Let you know what I find out.

        Previously sounded good?
At first glance the selector can not generate that. Simply sets a limitation on gain and assign a extra bass on the lead I.
The balance between modes has never been good in that amp.
