    wouldn't you know it...
like a light switch it just started buzzhumming....
K,,, with volume at 10 it's quiet...turn reverb up gets louder as it goes to 10.... now,,, when I introduce the drive by the time it gets to 10 it's super loud.....
so I can play with full volume and reverb about 4 and its passable,,, 10 is to noticeable.....but when I start putting in Drive, by the time I get to 4 it's to loud,
    at 8 it's super loud...

so with full volume alone its ok but not much volume of course,,,so if I want hardly any reverb and no distortion it's fine...lol
should be at full temp by now I expect it to start popping as soon as I send this?...lol ...cost e $55 so far but it was just for cleaning as he said there were no cracked solder joint.... now I it needs a full re-soldering ... its like paying double for what I bought it for....

maybe I should just leave it to practice soldering....and buy a new amp for my bass?

and I'm a drummer no static...

yah I'll give it a try.... no amp tech,,,,I don't think I shud spend any more money on it..I'll practice soldering or it goes in the closet.

one last question guyz wen I re-solder do I just pass the gun over it and remelt the solder or do I have to clean and use some kind of flux and new lead???

ok 2--- if it needs the whole 9 yds.. what kind of solder and flux???

Just use a good flux core solder. That's the easiest way. Simply put a small amount of fresh melted solder onto each contact and watch for it to flow onto, and "wet" the component lead. If there's grime, yes, clean it. Get a solder sucking tool so that if you end up with too much solder on a joint, you can remove it and put on the right amount of fresh solder. Once you do a couple it'll make perfect sense and go very quickly.
