Roland Microcube problem

Hello I have a roland microcube amp the old one it sounds good but it doesn't seem to have as much gain or distortion as what I am hearing on youtube or one that I tried a long time ago. I was just wondering is there anything loose inside or could it be the power adapter. I am using the boss ac psa adapter because I got it at a shop when it was out of the box on display. I tried using batteries but I have still the same problem.

Does anyone know what it could be ?

Very probably no problem at all.

YT videos are misleading to say the least, plus typical camera compression makes a much longer sustain apparent ... as if you were using a compressor (which you are, like it or not).
Not forgetting all the horrible digital processing they apply to everything, to save bandwidth and server space.

And comparing today´s realities to long fading memories ... all I can say is that on FB I get friendship requests from ladies who used to be as hot as a nuclear explosion ... way back then in my (our) youth ...
Today ? ..... ouch !!!!!
